So a while back I posted a thread after finding that my newly rebuilt 318 wasn't getting oil to the heads.
I was damn near lightin the whole thing on fire I was so frustrated.
A lot of you guys chimed in to help me through the trouble-shooting process.
Well, after getting a priming shaft, I learned that the oil pump would not turn...
Okay, dropped the pan, pulled the pump: It ate its self.
The hex socket that the shaft goes into was grenaded (luckily all the bits were contained).
The whole deal got put on the back burner for a while out of frustration. It was hell getting the oil pan off (never rtv both sides of the gasket!) and I was just done for a while.
This weekend, I installed a new pump, bolted her back together and primed with the rocker shafts off. Success!!
Oil-a-plenty!
Runs like a raped ape.
So yeah. I just wanted to stop by and thank you guys once more for helping me out and let ya know what the problem was.
Thanks again!
