OK. got my new B&M Star shifter and will start the install. Any advise or tips? Seems like a lot of cable to run(5ft).Looks like I'll need to remove the original brace. I am going to use my factory console(somehow-someway) Any advice would be welcome.

That 5' of cable will disappear quickly, trust me. Pay attention to how you route it, it must be away from exhaust, or you won't be happy, lol.

Utilizing the factory console has been done, but you're going to have to get creative to make it all come together and look like factory. Good choice on shifter, BTW.
