Shifting Speeds?

I have a 727, with a 318, Edelbrock Performer Intake and Carb. At what speeds should the tranny shift to second and third. Right now it shifts to 2nd at 20 mph, and 3rd at around 50mph. But if I let off the gas while accelerating at 40 it shifts to 3rd. If I dont let off at 40 it shifts at 50.
I have BP kick down kit installed.

if i remember correctly it should be in the ball park of 15 and 30 mph at normal acceleration

At light throttle it should shift into 2nd at approx. 8-15 and into 3rd at 15-30. Wide open is kinda hard to say cause gear ratio, tire size and the governor in the trans all affect it but I'd guess it should shift into 2nd in the neighborhood of 35-45 and into 3rd at 75-80
