Shock Absorbers

Ok, I am looking for a good OEM replacement for the front of /6 64 valiant. I have used the NAPA brand and am not happy with them they are squishy and don't shock absorb the way I think they should. What do you all use for shocks on your'll cars. Thanks

I like the KYB Gas-Adjust. They are firm, but make the car feel more responsive.

BILSTEIN from firm feel inc. Expensive but ride well and corner well. KYB if on budget.

x3 KYB. If your front end parts are old, be prepared to replace them too, new shocks will outperform the weak parts of the system.

Funny you mention that, I rebuilt the frontend and it is the shocks that are failing.....

Although the Bilsteins are a very good shock, I would recommend the KYBs unless you are planning additional upgrades to the suspension and wheel/tire package.

The reason…… You won't see much from the extra $$$ you spend on Bilsteins, basically they are overkill for a stock suspension car sporting standard 13"/14" wheels and a standard performance radial.
