Shoe size 10 x 1 3/4 10 x 2 1/4

I have been seeing both of these sizes listed for my 68 Barracuda that came w a 318. I understand 1 3/4 is the stock width, but will the 2 1/4 work as well? My guess is no, but possibly there is a reason why they would work, so i just want to be certain.

Standard on all 68 Barracuda's with a v8 were 2 1/4 front and 1 3/4 rear ..make sure if you recut the drums that they cut all the way to the face or the shoes will rub.. very close spacing
