Ok guys, just out of simple curiousity, do these new style shorty headers do as good a job as long tube on a street engine, OR are they no better than the cast iron manifolds they are replacing?

I've got a set on my 360 69 Cuda. Every dyno test I've seen show the shorty better than the 340 manifolds by 5 to 10 lbft. Long tubes do make more power though. Less heat in the engine compartment, a clear shot at the plugs, and a damn sight cheaper(by make) are a plus.

I've heard good things about Sanderson but haven't had any 1st hand experience with them. Seems to be a mixed bag with the Hedman style shorties. I had this debate with myself for a bit a while back, decided risk vs reward was not enough & went with long tubes. YMMV
