Hey all, I'm finally getting my 360 back from the machine shop on Monday and was wondering if I should start assembly or not. I'm asking 'cuz it might be 2 or 3 months before I can run it (still need a carb and radiator and need to rebuild or replace my trans). My worry is that the lube and oil might run off components in that time. So, will I be fine or should I wait to assemble? If fine, what assembly lubes and oil will stick longer? Thanks!

Use moly assembly lube and prime it when you go to start it. you will be fine.

Also, cover it if not wrap it up and bag it. Summit sell's engine bags. Use WD-40 or equal to spray down all surfaces before bagging it to keep any rust, flash or long term heavy rust from sitting from forming.

I have done this with excellent results on parts sitting for years sometimes.

Sweet, thanks guys! I'm so anxious and excited to start my first build!
