One day I have to round up all these kids for a today picture.
The neighbor boys moved to Texas so that may be tough, but the dad is a car nut and would probably fly them here just for that.

My Dad bought this A108 brand new in 1968, that is me in the picture, I must be 3 or 4, so the van must be brand new.

He kept it till 2004, and sold it, which nobody could believe. I just found it again, and bought it back, i dont have any pictures yet, maybe soon.

It has a 318, the first motor went 230,000 miles, the second went 100,000, he had the trans rebuilt with the second rebuild, as far as i know the rear has never been touched, it still drives like it used to.

Dang, i cant post it, i put the picture in my gallery.

My buddy just scored this one for a couple hundred bucks.
His plans are B-3 blue with a touch of pearl metallic, white interior and butt stripe with the full "bee" treatment.
It should be a stunner when finished!

This is one of my A-bodies I bought on eBay a couple years ago. The final price was $177.50! It is completely rust free. It was in Golden Valley AZ and the owner stored it for me for an entire year at no charge until I found a shipper to get it close to me for only $600.00. That is a great deal for a 1,800 mile one way haul. The shipper also stored it three months for free also until I made it down there (Chicogo, Ill; ~6 hours south of here). I guess when it is meant to be everything goes your way.

This post inspired me to clean the junk off the hood and at least set the scoop on the car this morning.

The rear aluminum Cragar DragStars (same as Weld ProStars) are 15 x 10-inch. They have a 4.5" backspace. The tires are 295/50R-15s. They look AWESOME, however with the rear lowered any more they would rub on the outer lip. I am debating rolling my wheel lips, however I am not sure they would still tuck up inside without rubbing. I do not want to cut up an original rust free car just yet, especially when I have so many other projects that I can cut up if I want to.

I decided to go another route for now. To give me a little more room I got a set of offset shackles, and decided to go with a wheel with a 5" backspace so I can hopefully clear a 15 x 10-inch wheel and 295/50R-15 tire combo with the car lowered down a bit more. I found a great deal on a set of aluminum American Racing: Vector (yes the Dukes wheels I know...). They had the 5"backspace I was looking for to move the wheel in a bit, however they are only availible in 8.5" wide in the rear. This will knock me down to a 275/60R-15rear tires for now, however I will not have to roll my lips for the time being. This will leave with time to think about it. 295/50R-15s will go onto an 8.5" wheel, however I think the 275/60R-15s will 'fit' the 8.5" wheel more correctly.

I have only been able to save some that i foound sitting in Driveways

I bought this one from My cousin in law. It was in his brothers back yard. I still have it.

i saved this Barracuda. It was sitting in a driveway. Hadn't started in 6 years or so. I just left a note on the car with my phone number. I sold it to 440valiant on here, and he has it stripped right down. Its crazy.

i also bought a 1973 dart sport that was improted to canada from California 10 years ago, It never was insured while it was here. i found it sitting in a front yard with flat tires. i left a note on the door, and bought it too. i don't have any pics on my computer of that one.

when i get some money again, i will prob start a thread on finding and buying a car that isn't advertised. It would be interesting for people to watch what I find, and if people wnat to sell it or not, and for how much etc etc. But like I said...i need the money first.

I rescued this from a guy in Hayward, CA for $400 last November. I hooked up with bb66cuda last weekend and got a '66 Valiant 4 door parts car for free (THANKS Marc!) that'll help bring my Siggy back to life:

You guys are awesome!!

That slant six and the orange seats gave me wood.

Nothing like turning a rust bucket into art, oh and that T/A challenger....I hope you paid next to nothing for it, it looks amazing now.

I can't wait to check this post again when I get home from my late job.

I like the black notchback with the RMD dash and the racing seats.

Also coyote jack, if those before and after pics don't inspire someone, there is just no hope for them, what a complete transformation and execution.

Keep them coming please.

We haven't done anything with this one yet as it needs lots of body work & TLC.
It has a 318 that runs pretty good.
