Show your slant 6 a body!

I am trying to make sure that the slant 6 car in if now is he same one it came with. If so I will keep this engine in forever.

Meant to say, if the engine in it now is the original slant 6 ill keep it in it. I couldn't imagine someone taking the original out and not putting in a bigger engine.

AMighta just been replaced if the original blew up. I'd just leave it a slant 6 anyhow and just cruise around

Engine work finally done for a while. It's rebuilt .060 over. Aftermarket cam. Super six carter bbd and HEI electronic ignition. Flowmaster 40 muffler. Up next is to put in the disc brakes, and drive it as-is until next year when I can work on the body.

I bought this car from a breaker's yard for € 450 and cost € 452 to immatriculate. I've spent a bit more since, ordering performance parts from Australia.

How much did it cost to rebuild the slant 6?

The cylinder head alone cost 2,000AUD. A quick estimate would be ca $10,000, perhaps more, plus about € 3,000 for delivery and customs fees. Another € 2,000 went for machining.

LOVE the gas cap location, Zuluman!! I always wondered why no one puts em on top like the chargers. That's where I'd put it. First one ive seen like that!

Thank you for the compliment. We head 2 choices ; on the side, with an indented circle like the 1967 Barracuda or like a Charger. I think these little deatails are important.

X2 on the cap, it never looked right on the side of the car, nice job very kewl!!!!!!!!!

Thank you again 75slant6. The side marker lights are actually from Dakota Digital, with LEDs. I hated the plastic factory parts because these didn't suit the car at all. I found the to be too "modern" for the original design. I wanted the right look with a balance of modern and period elements. My balance.

Still needs some tlc
You have a great ride there fore sure and looking great, that Mopar is in
super shape and moving forward :thumleft:
