I'll try to post updates here when i can. video is tough because it has to go to youtube then posted here. maybe I'll do that after the trip. who knows.
Day 1.

we left jersey at about 7pm. arrived in wheeling west va at about 2am monday morning for some shut eye.

car ran nice. its sweet spot is 65-70 mph. think its definitely getting something like a 2.76 gear over the winter.

we hit heavy rain for 2+ hours through Pa. so much for the nice clean car i left with..lol.

pretty non-eventful. gonna eat and hit the road again in a bit. we have about 8 or so hours to St. Louis. hopefully traffic isn't too bad.

Should be a good day for driving Joe
All clear from there to St. Louis, always loved that build of yours, enjoy the beuityful drive today.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous. Bucket list trip is Route 66 in my Duster and the idea of doing it from track to track is just too cool. Enjoy!

I've always wanted to do it. this came up and they plan it for you so we decided to do it. them planning it helps a ton. being we aren't racing we can cut out early and see stuff not on their list.

I road tripped out that way to buy a Duster a few years ago.
2,000 miles in 2 days, pulling a car trailer, it was a long trip.

jamie thinks I'm nuts but i couldn't drive this thing another mile with how filthy it was. hit a self serve car wash and cleaned it up. i think it runs better clean too. :)

heading in to see the gateway arch today.

This is a great time of year to take such a wonderful ride!!
Driving the roads in a classic is wonderful!!

once the trip os complete I'll feel that way. while the *** cheek is going numb and the back os killing my from this bench seat i think to myself that i should have brought our 2019 mustang rag top. lol

I would just slow down, stop and get out and take a break more (smell the roses! or grass!) ! If I was still living in SW Mo. I would invite you all to stop by and visit and offer a room for the night. I was just 10 miles N of old 66 and drove it many a day in one of my Dusters to Springfield.

I'm joking. while that stuff bothers me it is cool as hell taking this car on this trip. can only slow down so much though. not a lot or time. today will be a slower pace. going to check out the arch then only a 4 hour drive to the museum i want to see then a 3 or so hour drive to ozark dragway area on wed. don't leave there till friday so it should be more relaxing
