Morning Gents.......Going to remove the side windows on a 1970 Dart. The previous owner secured the anti rattle material to the side glass so it goes up and down with the window. Is this correct? Was the original not secured in the front track and the window ran up and down in the anti rattle material? I am talking about the track that the vent window is in front.
The passenger window is so tight that it takes 2 men and a boy to operate.
Thanks for any assistance appreciate

Ric

Yep, with the window, passenger side might need some graphite in the runners and regulator.

Morning.....So now I have the glass and all parts removed from the doors and yes I will be greasing the necessary components. However the question I originally asked has not been addressed. I need someone who is familiar with the factory installation of the side windows to chime in for clarification.
What I am wondering is the anti rattle material, was it fixed to the glass so it travelled up and down with the window in the front vertical channel or was the anti rattle material secured in the channel so the glass slid in the material. The one I just removed had the material fixed to the glass and was a mess.
If the anti rattle material was fixed in the channel who in the after market parts world carries this?
Thanks for any help.

First part of my response, it's held on to the glass with pins that keep it in the channel. I like graphite or a very light oil.

Sorry I misinterpreted the Yep with the window. So the anti rattle was secured to the window. I find that odd as most other manufacturers had the glass travel up and down in the window track lined with the anti rattle.
Thanks for clearing up my stupidity.
When I did my '69 Dart I made anti rattle strips for the channel.

 not stupid just a goofy way of doing it.
My grandson just bought this '70 Dart, and asked me to help him fix the side windows. When I did my '69 I was unaware that the anti rattle was attached to the glass, so I made anti rattle that secure to the vertical track and they worked beautifully, so I am going to do his '70 dart the same way. I think it is better than a track sliding inside a track, plus when the window is down the front vertical has a finished look.
Thanks for the info, now I know how Dodge did the window treatment.

Evening...I had watched those 2 videos and just thought the restorer had just taken the easiest path to correcting a problem, so that is why I asked this forum, and discovered that that was the way Dodge did the side windows.
