Sigh...reupholstered my seats but I lost something

I recently reupholstered my front bench seat in my 1974 Dart. When I tried to reinstall them I found the pin that holds the drivers side back to the bench broke off and it's gone. I can't find it. I'm on the hunt for a replacement that I'll have to weld back in place without damaging the new upholstery. Any advice on where to find one and how to go about welding it in would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you drill and tap? Not sure how much iron you are working with.

Get a long grade 8 bolt from the hardware store with a shank of the same diameter and weld appropriately.
