Or maybe not cause, as I used to tell the players I coached... "the only dumb question is the one not asked." So, that being said
I am going to be doing a /6 to a 340 swap in the near future and I need to know, is it necessary to change the K member or can I just change the motor mounts?:tard:

You can use the /6 frame you just need conversion mounts. That or change you k frame to a v8 one (better way to go I think).

Thank you both. After reading more about this in the "supension" threads (probably should have done that before opening my mouth), I am getting most of the answers I am looking for. I do appreciate your responses.

How about the trans crossmember. Does it need replaced when doing the slant to LA swap?

Trans Dapt also make a conversion motor mount kit.

Think about the safety first. Make sure you have the braking and drivetrain to handle the swap. Good luck on the conversion.
