I need to replace mine. What is the best new option? This is for a slant six 225. Thanks in advance. 1 bbl carb.
Trying to stay as original as possible. I realize not easily done anymore, but I don't want to go EFI on my 71Why not go EFI?
Several experiences with Tomco rebuilds were play in the throttle shaft. A Tomco might work well for you if you plan on having it re-bushed.Trying to stay as original as possible. I realize not easily done anymore, but I don't want to go EFI on my 71
Don't know why it says inbox full. I don't have anything in it. Let me know what you want for it. Thanks!Your inbox is full. I just went to efi on 71 225. 1920 sitting on the bench. Not planning on using it
I went thru the replacement carb ordeal a couple years ago. My '67 Dart came with a 1920 but got so it wouldn't idle worth squat no matter what I did. Against everything I'd read here I tried the rebuilt route...one (only one they had) from Rock Auto and several Tomcos from O'Reilly. All were junk. Parts missing, incorrectly assembled, leaked, stripped fuel inlet, you name it. Ran like crap if at all. Poor store manager at O'Reilly's dreaded me coming thru the door.I didn't go with the Tomco. I ordered an Autoline from Rockauto. Will see. It has nothing but great reviews from what I can find. Will know more in a week.
Hell ya! Those sound fun!I found. 2 NOS Carter BBD's last year, one is on my son's /6 truck, the other is going onto mine
