I got two slant six blocks and a 904 from RustyRatRod and I'm attempting to dig up a little info on them.

I got a cast crank engine, here is the number on the side.

And the number on the deck is 9 225 R6 2E

The forged crank block side

And the deck number 5W 225 4785

Can anyone tell me what kind of cars these came out of and what year they are?

Also where would I find the ID numbers on the 904 transmission? I would like to know the year of it as well.

Get the numbers off the passenger side by #1 cylinder (stamped in)

The 1st block could be for an "industrial engine", used in forklifts, pumps, etc. I have no info, just throwing out that idea. It does look like a different casting. Does it have the power steering mount points? I think all car engine blocks had that.

That black block has been decked. The shop that did it re stamped the numbers on the deck. I supposed it is entirely possible they made a mistake.
