On a 1971 scamp,i have a bad vibration at about 60mph.The u-joints are good, the driveshaft appears to be true as do the rear axles. The wheels appear to be true and in round. The motor and tranny have been pulled, but everything was marked for installation. There does seem to be a flat spot in the gas feed as soon as the pedal is pressed, but i am not sure if this is related to the problem.Any help would be great.

If its an auto, check the flexplate to crank and to TC. I had a similar prob on my '63.

Although your wheels appear to be true and round I would have them balanced. Could be as simple as weith fell off.

I would hold it in first gear and let it run about 25 to 30 mph or less and see if the vibration appears, If not, it has got to be a wheel/tire I would think.
I am no means a tec Just thinking 8)

Run it up to 70, pop it in neutral and shut it off. You will be amazed what you can hear and feel with the engine off.
