slant glasspack vs turbo?

getting ready to have the local muffler bender do exh for the stock 225 65 dart.

getting half deft in my senior years. as usual doing this on the cheap. I want exhaust I can hear but sound obnoxious going down the road. I live in sticks and drive in mainly rural area and small towns.

glasspack or cheap turbo?????? thanks

I used the summit turbo muffler on my 64 Dart. I started out with a bullet muffler and as a senior also, it was too loud. Much better with the turbo muffler.

When I bought my Dart, it had short Thrush Glasspack on it and was way too loud! Now I've got a Thrush Welded (chambered) muffler behind my slant. It's still a little too noisy for me, but not as bad as before! I'm probably gonna switch to a Thrush Turbo.

thanks for the info. that's what I guessed. years back I ran glasspacks on 454 dually's pulling goosenecks. didn't bother me. I've had older cummins with straight pipes, nice mellow sound. but I have a feeling the open glasspack would be too loud for me.
I will look at economy priced turbo and try that.
