SLant six identification

I have a 70 dart with non original /6 in it, first /6 I have ever owned and I don't know the first thing about how to ID it. Could someone help me to figure out where to look and what to look for so I can ID this motor? Car came with a 198 per the VIN, but can't find a description of where the ID numbers would be or what they would be???
