used tomy AFX track, screwed down, soldered, and moulded together. trakmate lap timer, and 4 22 volt AFX powerpacks. the power packs are wired to each individual lane to prevent power surges, track is wired for 3 wire 60 ohm parma controllers, and the grass infield is felt spray glued to masonite panels. the gray color of the track is dupont laquor auto primer.

the dodge L700 beer truck started out as the cab from a tyco model RR accessory. i used an AFX magna traction chassis, and cut down an AFX peterbilt semi truck chassis and chopped the trailer from a 40 foot double axle to a 30 foot single axle. i have budweiser decals for an HO scale RR boxcar to put on the truck. going to glue the double chrome smoke stacks onto it from the peterbilt cab, and need to make a thermo king refrigerator box forthe front of the trailer, with a fuel keg under the trailer to complete the inner city beer delivery truck look.

I built this setup to fold up against my garage wall when not in use. The hinge pins slide out and the table is turned long ways against the wall and the hinge pins are locked back into brackets so the table doesnt move while in use. There is one controller station at each corner. I can set this up faster than it takes the computer to start up and load the trakmate program to run races.

We use Tomy AFX cars on race night, but i have a restored collection of 70s aurora afx magna traction cars that are shelf queens. Too valuable to take a chance the bodies will get damaged.

I found the Charger to be slightly larger than most of the other 1/32 scale..it wasn't competative against other muscle cars such as the trans am...

Ian.

Yeah, you got to race it with Pioneer Chargers or Carerra Charger's, Road Runners and Daytona's.

Great looking track and truck!

Just another one I cobbled together.

I love the beat up weathered look of the dodge charger. The 2 rednecks driving it with beer cans in their hands. The bungee cord holding the bent up trunklid down is classic, as is the one headlamp door stuck in the up position.

That looks like it took some work to weather it including the rust streaks and rust holes in the body. Really, awesome job.
