I was wondering if this could be done or other ways of fixing an oil pan leak. I have a small leak coming from the front oil pan / timing chain cover seal. The leak is coming from the bottom of the seal, the part that sits on the pan side and not the side that fits the timing chain side. I was wondering if I lower the pan enough to put a bead of PTV let it seal some then re put the pan back up. Or take the pan off and refit another way. It's a pretyy new installed last year 360 Duster Motor. Can the pan be removed and fix anoher way inside the car. Drop the center link and remove that way.... Asking for help...

If oil is leaking out, there is oil inside the leak you'll be trying to plug. Nothing sticks to oil. Your best bet would be to pull the pan completely and either use a new gasket OR just glue it on with RTV. Make sure the sealing surfaces are 100% oil free, Brakleen works well.
