I won first round in Both Stock and Superstock
at NHRA World Final! .00 Lights in both classes.
However, I race the New World Champions in Stock
next round.

Great job John! You seem to do well at Pomona.

Those new world champions need to prove it every round just like any other driver.

Damn you’re crushing it! Good luck in the next rounds. Wish I could take off work and come watch.

He beat the champ and has a bye next round, which is on Saturday morning according to schedule.
My two cents is don't change on the tree, just stage carefully and let some air out of all 4 tires.

Looks like the start of a good weekend at Pomona!

Well, I put up a .002 reaction time and was able to beat the New World
Champions.

They were #1 Qualifiers and therefore are award the first Bye run on the ladder.
By beating them I earn their Bye for the next round tomorrow. This will move me
into the 4th round without opposition in the upcoming 3rd round.

I am very pleased so far, My next two eye surgeries are next month and will hopefully
be the last for a while. My vision is currently very cloudy and the next surgeries should
fix that condition the Surgeon tells me.

God is so Good = All the time!
All the Glory to his Righteous Name!

Right on John! The boy and I will try to find you this weekend, we are heading up tomorrow morning.

We are towards the back of the pits on the West Side towards
the track.

White Volvo Toter and ATC 4 car stacker.

Great job, John thanks for getting back to me so quick yesterday wish I could be there today but I spent the last week and a half in jury duty so I got other things I have to get done still praying about your eyes god bless go get em.

I face Jeff Jerome in his beautiful 63 Plymouth Max Wedge!

After we prepare to go up from staging lanes to run his 426 will
not start as 16 volt battery is dead. The Max Wedge is a high compression
Cross Ram engine and not easy to start on it's best day. Some of my friends
helping me say "Take the Single". Hell NO! My boy Jon gets our Jumper box
and he gets him started and we make it the last pair out. I do not come to the
races to win by default = I come to race lose or win on the track.

Jeff spots my little 340 Demon a bit over one light (.5 Second) and I take the stripe
by .02. and good by a couple hundred.

That’s how champions win. Well done sir.

John, you are a "true" sportsman racer. I know some who would have turned a blind eye and just taken the win. Keep up the good work!!!

Down to the Final Four!

Well my day is likely finished!!

I face my friends the Wann Family (Steve Wann built car) their
340 Fastback Cuda which along with my son Jons Demon are
the fastest 340 cars in the country!

My car is fast and a at least a match (When I want to show it) than
most in our class. However, my good Aluminum 340 engine is on the
stand waiting to go in this winter. I am finishing out the season with my
15 year old back up engine. I am expecting to go 10.70s this next round (3325Lbs in E/SA) as
I am turning it up. Fast carb/0 weight/Chilled to 60 Degrees. (Fast enough to
trigger a look at to add HP). BUT Steve's car can go 10.50 if he needs it to. I watched
him beat the fastest Pontiac Stocker in Vegas Head Up last race.

But I am very excited the to make it to Final Four again like I did at Winternationals in Pomona this year..

With my age and vision challenges I did not plan or anticipate winning
a single round.

Phil. 4:13:
I can do ALL THINGS through Jesus Christ who
give me Strength!
