Awesome John !! keep it up ... three Mopars in the Semis and one left in S/S !! Cool !! ( I am watching on Drag Race Central ) ... Love those fast A body Stockers !!! the Vignogna D/SA Duster went 10.20s at the Dutch Classic a few weeks ago in killer air ! from what I hear Steve Wann built the engine a few owners ago .. he still might as he is friends with the current owners.

Class act those Irving guys! Way to go. They are raising a whole race team also. Look out in the future.

John has to race heads up against one of the fastest cars around. No dial in, all horsepower and some brains on a heads up.

Hey John, the driver is pretty new, he could make a mistake. Just go up there and put up good numbers and make him beat you. Now if he drives past you then warm up the brakes and keep your average right for the future.

John, you are the true definition of a good man and a class act. So many people would simply take the default win just to make the next round. Well done sir, and God bless you.

John, Nicholas and I are pulling for you in the stands! Was nice talking to you earlier and looking forward to watching you race tomorrow!

That’s a 440, correct?

No 440 Dusters in Stock eliminator, you must use an engine available in the car for the year. So all stock eliminator Dusters/Demons in the 10's and 11's are 340 powered.

1970-71 340 Fits in classes D E and F
And 1972-73 340 fits classes E F and G

A car can move up or down one class from its natural class. If it can get light enough to not have to remove any required parts. Helps to have a light weight driver. There can be bolt on ballast in the trunk and a weight box in the trunk to add weight to.

Dangit, John! This is good stuff. I am glad your vision is good enough you can race. Keep us updated!

Looks like 4 Speed Johnny is still in it! 4sJ’s 440 six pak 70 Road Chicken. He broke 3rd gear in R4 but his opponent broke at the launch. Spare trans is in and ready to rock!

Had a small plane go down in the pits, looks like where it hit should have missed the area John is in.

John, you guys ok?

Yes, please update if possible John. Just saw this article.

We are hanging around our pits waiting till later in
the Afternoon to run the Final Four. It got late yesterday
and we were in the staging lanes prepared to go up when they
called it for yesterday.

I did not mind as my vision at night is still not very good.

We were eating Breakfast off track when the Crash occurred.

It missed our rig and we are fine. A strange deal for sure!

I do not know if we will race today or not.

If they postpone it till later in the week = We will go home and put the
new engine in my Demon for the Heads Up race.

My son Jon has a couple of fresh spares in his shop for our combo as well.

Well as expected the Wann family outran us.

My car had the two step too high and skidded
in a lot deeper than I wanted and I turned on the red
light. I staged it at 50 Degrees water temp and the engine
did not run well at that cold of a temp. Usually, I try to stage at
75 Degrees when I am trying to go fast. I have a large cooler
that I fill with 80 LBs of Ice at back of staging lanes when we have
a heads up. We pump the water from the engine in the top of it and
filter it thru the Ice and back into the engine. My car ran a disappointing
10.80s

The went in the 10.50s and ran over 1.1 under the index and
got a strike which when you go 1.00 gets you a evaluation of
you HP. I do not know if Michael did not notice my red light and
ran it thru without lifting or if the just do not care as this is the last
race of the year.

Nevertheless, It was a great finish of the year for this elder guy to
make the Final Four again like I did at Winternationals in Pomona and
Bakersfield this year.

Good is Good = All the Time.
All Glory and Honor to God!
