I think some cars just have a look that looks dated quickly and they fall by the wayside.

Look at those later 280z's, they started to get boxy/funky really look like an 80s car, but the 240s/260s are still loved.

I had an '83 280zx. Those were the most loathed of the Z cars. That coupled with rust, they just didn't last up here in the north.
