I'm planning to building another 340 engine for my Duster drag car.
I'm planning on solid lifters. I'm aware of the 2 styles, dumbell and straight wall. Other than the mass, is there a preference of which lifter style to use? 65

Use the full bodies lifters. On high lift camshafts, the dumbell lifters can raise above the lifter oil gallery in the block and result in a loss of oil pressure.
 
I have a set of original 273 straight wall solid lifters I was considering having refaced. The grinding cost about the same as a new set of solid lifters. What's the best way to go? 65
 
I'm most likely going to have a custom cam ground based on my purpose/set up. I'll talk to a couple cam grinders for a recommendation. 65

Get ahold of him or he will see this. Very reasonable price. I went with a solid roller set up now, so I didn't end up having it done.
 
For solid flat I can only recommend edm or modified lifters to get more lube on the faces
 
With a high lift camshaft, the lifter will sit lower in the lifter bore, not higher, because the base circle is smaller. If you have, or can get, some dumbell lifters I would have them re-faced & use them. If you want extra lube going to the lobes, you can grind a groove with a Dremel or similar, as below.

I've been using the comp edm lifters for 6 years with no issues. Run a good oil and break the cam in right.
