Speaker grill for ‘62 Dodge Lancer and Valient

The speaker grill in my Dodge Lancer was destroyed by the sun. I designed and 3d printed a new one that looks nearly identical to the original and mounts in the same way. I printed the grill flat and face down, after printing I gently warmed the ends with a heat gun and bent it to fit the dashboard. I plan to paint the grill when I repaint the dashboard to protect the print from the sun. The design can be downloaded from Thingsaverse the title is 62 Dodge Lancer speaker grill. The download is of course free.

Looks good. I ended up putting a gauge panel in its place

Should do, yep. But there’s another place that make a couple that look really authentic. Made of light metal, but really neat. I’ll have to keep looking. Those links were just ones I remembered.

Woo hoo, thanks for confirming.

I have a Pair of '62's now.. Both amazingly have the speaker Grilles intact, but I am sure If I go in there to replace the speaker they will crumble to Dino dust.

Boy I need one of those my 62 has no grill at all

The one you made.....that looks very close to the way they looked originally - is that right ??
