Just wondering if anyone has used the Speedmaster connecting rods. They are on sale right now, cheaper than having stock rods reconditioned.

From what I was told some rods. Scat , eagle , Speed master , ext. are all the same just a different name . That is a great deal for those rods . .
High dollar rods just go through a better quality control system. You pay them extra to xray and blueprint to make sure they are perfect. They may find 1 out of 1000. Your paying for confidence in your purchase. And in today's world whats it worth. What do they actually do with that one bad find?

Probably a good deal if they have genuine ARP bolts. There has been a significant amount of counterfeit ARP bolts out there. And speedmaster has been known to counterfeit parts. Although I have no issue with there bare smallblock heads

This is true^^^. When I bought the rods I have I tracked down the importer and he gave me his account number at ARP so I could call and verify he was actually buying from ARP enough to say he’s actually using their bolts.
He told the truth but I would verify some way the seller actually uses ARP stuff. And that they gave bought and are buying enough bolts to cover what they import.
