$4403 looks like SM is using an Indy Mod-Man intake manifold.
 
Its usually all about "supply and demand". For the forecasted demand they may have or perceive, they can likely buy the existing manifolds at a cheaper cost than investing in tooling for their own. This gets them into the market. Once demand reaches a higher (reasonable) volume, they might change their manufacturing path and make their own manifold.

If you do get one for your Duster, you will never regret it as long as you don't put a little to much boost into it. Probably more power from a turbo but more cool factor with the Roots blower.

I’ll never disagree with you on the looks factor. Always wanted a roots blown car. This makes it slightly more feasible.
 
The nice thing about Roots supercharging is o plumbing, instant boost, massive low end torque without the extra costs of a hair dryer system, supercharger or turbo. Even more so needed if the pressure and heat rise high enough to demand an inter cooler.

With the Roots supercharger, if cooling is needed, a water cooled system can be set up under the blower and simple plumbing is used. On a turbo or centrifugal, the plumbing to and from the internet cooler can be a big PIA and pricey.

What I like about pressuring an engine is that even at modest low levels of boost, the returns are really good. 9psi is a wonderful thing.
 
Hmm, Dyers uses 7/8” shafts on their snout drives.

TBS, BDS, RCD, RBS sells 1.25” shafts

GoodVibes has 1.125” shafts along with “competition” 1.25” shafts.

I hear ya on the china crap but buyer beware with a blower designed for a performance application in which case Dyers falls short on.

Yes, I broke the shaft on my Dyers 2 summers ago and I only run 9 lbs of boost.

I couldn’t find any specs on SM shaft size.

ProComp (which I believe, is now SM) started to cast ford blower manifolds in addition to chevy blower manifolds, there were rumors that ProComp was going to cast SB Mopar blower manifolds but that never happened…..

There is some fella that goes to the Bellmore meet and is awfully proud (to the point of turn off) of his roots small block cranking out a claimed 1,000.
I’m not saying it’s impossible but very improbable that he’s up near 1000 with a roots blown small block. I’ve seen a few of em go across a dyno and I remember Steve Brule saying “a roots blower is like a 900hp restrictor plate”. Look at Finnegans roots blown Hemi in Blesphemi, that’s a fairly serious piece and he was hung up at 950hp for a long time.
