As for valve quality from China, I'll say not that bad. I haven't been rebuilding and building heads for very long , just about 4 years but I can say I've not seen a failure yet of just a valve.
It’s my understanding Bloomer heads began as a “rough” casting so it’s not like you can send him your out of the box Speedmasters and have him put his ports in them.Same thing bloomer is doing. Buying bare china castings and doing there own porting.
I never said anything about sending him your own heads
It caint be too bad, can it? That's where probably 90% or more come from and we're not seeing mass failures. As for valve quality from China, I'll say not that bad. Yeah and I hate to say but if it wasn't for the chinesium stuff 90% of people couldn't afford to get their cars fixed .It caint be too bad, can it? That's where probably 90% or more come from and we're not seeing mass failures.
That's a fact.Yeah and I hate to say but if it wasn't for the chinesium stuff 90% of people couldn't afford to get their cars fixed .
Necessary evilThat's a fact.
I thought the 11/32 valves are lighter, making it easier for the spring to control at high RPM.The .050" longer stems is for more valve spring room and the 11/32" stems is to pick up a little more flow. I didn't see where anyone answered that.
I guess the seals would need to be the correct dia to match the valve stem. Do the valve guides need to be changed to match?I meant 11/32" stems. I went back and changed it. lol Some people are even going to 5/16" and 1/4" stems, but 1/4" is gettin mighty small, IMO.
