Hey guys,
Just trying to get some thoughts on what is the correct speedometer gear for my setup.

Rear axle ratio: 4.10
Tire size: 275/70R14 which works out to a diameter of right around 29".

It seems I fall right between a 2538939(Green) and a 2538936(Red). Is it better to step up or down?

Also, where is the best place to buy the proper gear?

Thanks,
Bryan.

According to my calculator your tires should be 29.16" tall. With the 4.10 gear it falls between a 36 and a 37 tooth gear (according to my chart) if the tires were exactly 29" tall. Since your tires calculate to slightly over 29" I'd go with the 36 tooth gear. No idea the best place to buy a new gear. I might have a good used 36 tooth gear but shipping over the boarder isn't real cheap. OldKimmer is in CA so he might have an idea the best place to order from. You can try PM'ing him

Thanks guys. I guess I will go with a 37 tooth gear. Now to find one - Brewers was out of stock and Cudacox has a bunch - but no 37 tooth one in his add.
