My speedometer in my 74 Swinger does not work. It is stuck at about 120 all the way to the right. Not sure why this happened. Is there an easy fix for this.
 
mine stuck once at about 40... i just gave it a little tap on the top of the dash and it went back down, its been a little jumpy since, but it works ok
 
You know you dont ALWAYS have to race the ricers that mess with you on the highway :p
 
My guess: The cable needs to be cleaned/lubed and what happened is it wound up like a spring and released causing the needle to jump. It may have stuck in that position. The needle is not physically attached to the cable but works by magnetic induction.

All that to say take the cluster out, open the speedo up (if necessary) and see what's going on. Like 74S said, it might just need a bump.
 
If the actual speedometer is broke, let me know.
