spitfire header gasket question

you can get 1.5mm 1/16 inch or 3mm or 1/8 inch graphite tanged gasket sheeting in large sheets

cutting a gasket is a bit of a PITA but its great stuff
good for lnlet exhaust and water neck

finding a retailer is often hard, usually want to sell you a pallet load, like they would to an oil refinery or some power station, but peristance pays off

ive used this Graphite Tanged Sheet in the past

handy when noboday makes what you want, even better if the company that sells it has a CAD controlled cutter and can work from a sample.. you usually have to buy loads mind

Yeah I've made my own head gaskets before and yowza that took some time. Much appreciated idea!
Currently what I've done is flattened the copper gaskets in a press and copper kote'd them. They nearly perfectly match the heads and exhaust now but of course I won't know if they seal until I fire it up.
