I'm currently working on the suspension (rear at the moment) for my 73 duster.

The overall look of the car that im going for is more of a pro touring car look. I'm looking to put some 18" wheels and some fairly low profile tires on the car.

I have some SS springs but im worried that the high lift of the springs is going to make the stance of the car look weird with the low profile tires and modern wheels.

I'm not exactly sure how to lower the rear end of the car with these springs.

Would it be better to go with something else for the rear?

Also, I'm having a hard time picking out shocks for the car as well.

Any info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If I'm reading your thoughts right, don't use the SS springs. I can see at least a 1.5/2.0" block needed to get the stance you want. Once you get to that point, the springs hang so low, it's just ugly. I'm sure some of the members with similar type setups will chime in with a good spring recommendation.

Done this. Mocked up a 2" lowering block,on the 002/003 springs. Snapped ,two sets. Find a local spring guy,.You can have the stock stuff massaged cheaper, than running S/S springs. How about a set of fresh stock springs?
