When I first joined this group I had just bought a 73 Duster with a 440/727. About 7 years ago I bought a 72 Demon that has been sitting in the back of my shop until recently when I pulled it out to start working on it. This Demon is a base model with a slant 6, 904, and a 7 1/4 rear. The only options I know of is it has a 3 speed wiper motor, and electric windshield washer pump. I know the Demon is not a sought after model, but the car is absolutely unmolested and still represents basically how it came from the factory. The odometer shows just over 34,000 miles (which I believe is original) and has minimal rust for its age. Today I pulled the back seat out and found the broadcast sheet that was still in very good condition. When I bought the car it would barely run well enough to get it on the trailer, so I figured it had carb problems. I am working on getting it running so I can drive it for the 1st time since I've owned it. I plan on adding more here as I make improvements on the car.

I don't know where you got it is not a sought after model, it really is! Doesn't matter what it has for a drivetrain as it is only a 2 year model and yours is in awesome shape!

That's a nice duo! Vinyl top wasn't extremely common was at?

I agree with HemiSSDart, the Demon "is" a sought after car because of the 2 year production. Look through the site and see how many of our members installed the Demon tail panel on their cars. I believe there are at least 4-5 who have done this. The Demon became the Dart Sport because certain people objected to the "Demon" name.

i bet you'd use it more with a v8 in it, and there's nothing to cut fitting a small block so no loss of value. keep the /6 and box in case a future owner wanted to restore it back to it's former 'glory'...... yeah right, lol.
neil.

Some people enjoy the slant, others enjoy the 318, some enjoy the 340.....others gotta have a big block in something.
I'd eat steak every night and enjoy it, but I can't afford it.

Yea you’re right, no one wants those old 6 cylinder demons. Not sought after at all. If you bend my arm I’ll take it off your hands.

Holy crap that’s a nice original car. Congratulations on that find. Nice duster as well.
