I have a power steering gear box off of a 66 Barracuda and it's bad but I have one from a 70 Duster the only difference I can see is that the return hose is like 3/8 on the Duster one and I think about 3/4 on the 66. Can a person change the return nipple on the gear box without messing anything up by unbolting the return hose adaptor and swapping it.

Yes, you can swap the return valve with no issues.

I know there are differences in the shaft diameters/spline counts both ends. I don't know what year(s) these differences came around. Double check. Good luck
