In removing the steering column today; I noticed the white side (column side) of the connector is very very brittle. The black harness side is fine.

Is there a replacement connector for the column side?????? thanks...mIke

I need one too.

I have never seen the plastic housings until the above link. The pins are a rare type (Ford dual-something, forgot exact name). I was planning to change to a 56 terminal connector (like most on your car, 8 or 10-pin I forgot), but then I bought the connector from a guy here. I recall getting another pair at the junkyard from an 80's Dodge motorhome, so try picking those. Might have used on my Valiant (not selling regardless). By the mid-70's, the connector totally changed (single row), probably to support the "key in column".

Both my A's had butt-crimps at the steering column. Gomer mnechanics invariably cut off the connectors to change the turn signal. It isn't hard to release the pins.
