Hey everyone I’m just curious if it’s possible to drop my steering column so that I can pull the gauge cluster on 74 Dart. Cheers and thanks in advance for any help.

Yes..
There is a procedure in the FSM.
I followed the procedure last time but would take it a step farther next time.
Some things that help.
Remove the front seats
Next time I'm going to remove the column from the car ( roll pin on the coupler, a hand full of nuts and bolts, and a couple connectors)
Tape up the rest of the dash or you WILL scratch things.
The 74 dash might come out easier than the 67 dart dash!

Yes.
Directly under the cluster you will see three bolts with a star pattern washer. See diagram.
Remove these and column will drop.
Also, removing the steering wheel helps a lot.
Before doing anything, reach up and disconnect the speedometer cable.
Remove the phillips screws holding in the cluster , and rock it forward from the top. Don't pull it straight back or you will probably damage the pins on the circuit board connectors.
Go slow, take your time and the cluster will come out easily.

You also need to disconnect the column from the floor/firewall and if you align the coupler just right you get more angle.
1974- 1976 is slightly different.
First disconnect the battery.
Much easier if you remove steering wheel.
Remove speedometer cable.
Later models only have two studs and nuts holding column to dash.
Then remove 3 bolts at floor pan.
Let column rest on seat.
Remove phillip screws holding cluster to dash.
Tilt the top of cluster away from dash.
Be careful taking the nuts loose from the ammeter studs.
Slowly remove the round wire connector from cluster.
Unplug headlight switch and wiper switch.
It's not that difficult just take your time.
First disconnect the battery.
