Steering Column Question

I am Planning on Making My Duster a Floor Shift So I will be removing the Column. I will be Reusing the Same Column Just going to Grind on the Shift indicator, Seen it done on here.

But My question is Can I Get Rid of the inner Shift tube in the Column? I shouldn't need that anymore Rite?

Yes just use a ER16 lower bearing.

One more thing. Can I use a 67-9 Manual Steering Shaft in a 73 Column? I Don't think I will be able to have the Steering Wheel Lock.

Why do you want to change the shaft?

Wanted too go Manual Steering, Don't really want too pay 150, 200 For a Firmfeel Adapter.

It's easy to add 1 1/2" to your shaft. Look closly, it's a two part shaft held together by plastic.
