Looking for words of wisdom on removing my steering column.

For example, what tool do I need to use to get that coupling pin out?

1971 Dart Swinger.

Thanks!

Unbolt the 3 bolts at the plate at the firewall inside the car, unbolt the 3 bolts holding the column up to the dash, undo harness connections, use hammer and punch or drift to remove pin in coupler, make sure to remove all linkages down to tranny if column shift. Sometimes there is another small pin in the coupler if you decide to keep it on the column, it needs to be punched out if you go that route.

Unless you need to rebuild the box coupling be very careful to not pop the top off it.
Use a pickle fork between the coupling and steering gear to push the entire column with coupling off the gear box.
If you'll center the wheels straight ahead first, the pin, locating notch in the edge of the box, and the master spline on the shaft will all be in the correct locations.
