Steering column squeak - 69 Barracuda

Going to take the steering wheel off this weekend to investigate.
Is there a bushing of bearing known to fail and cause high pitched squeak when turning the wheel?
DEFINITELY steering column related.

I did see this, seems like a likely suspect

Could be the contact roller on the horn contact ring
