which is better to use a universal joint from borgenson or the factory style the Bergman sells , I was told there should be up and down movement for frame flexing , borgenson doesn’t have this

I just used the one from Bergman, when I installed my borgeson steering box. A lot simpler and no messing around cutting your steering shaft and drilling it for new roll pins.

Are you installing a borgeson box?

Yes , I have a 800126 box , my pitman arm fits , just working on the column . I like the Bergman coupler but wow $205 , vs $99 for the borgenson universal joint . I also don’t want anything transfers up the sterring wheel if there is no play in the borgenson joint

Use whichever you like best, but be advised as said, the u joint requires some fab work/modification. So it's either that or spend more money. If you can modify and fab then you can save s bit. My personal preference is the stock style coupler, but it is expensive.
