steering coupler question

i reinstalled my steering column and in haveing a f**k of a time getting the coupler to mount onto the power steering box. is there some sort of trick to this ?

There is a specific position for it. In the splines there is one large one that has to line up. You may know this already though.

I hear ya, may need to clean grooves on box gear.
could be a little damaged, dont take much.
Possibly tiny file to rid imperfections.
Check coupler grooves also.

Not easy and kind of a two man job to get it slipped on there right. Little wiggling tapping and swearing required
