Steering universal joint intalled!

finally got my steering universal joint installed. i got the joint with the 3/4 x 36 spline on one end and 3/4" DD shaft on the other end. i spliced in a section of DD shaft onto the end of the steering shaft. we did so by beveling both pieces to a point on the ends with about a 1/8" flat landing. then we welded it all back in with a 211amp mig. turned out pretty good. have tons of header clearance and steering feels really tight. here are some pics.

I have one of those in 3/8" for my Craftsman ratchet! I'm sure that your chassis is super tight and the chassis flex will never be an issue.
