i need to remove the steering wheel coloum to paint any tips out there to ease this job.69 dart

There is some bolts in the dash and some on the fire wall. Take them out. The best way I have found to get the coloum off the pot cupling is to take the pin out. There is a pin going into the cupling. Take a scruedriver and work it out. That should get it. Not hard at all.
There is two pins one that holds the pot cupling on the steer gear (big one) and a smaller one that holds the guts in to the pot cupling. I take out the small one my self. but ether one will do it. If you take out the small one. Don't loos the guts.
