Stock 340 Damper Diameter

I hate like hell to have to pull it all apart, does anyone know what the diameter is on the Damper ( harmonic balancer ) of a 68 340

7.25" I believe?

Or 7.20".. what I get. But a coupla coats of paint and you are at 7.25" LOL

Thanks, I did find a website that stated it is 7.250. That saved me a whole lot of work as I would have had to pull everything apart to get at it. Thanks again

Would you let the unsuspecting mind like me know what for you need the diameter of the balancer when you don't plan to change it?

Absolutely ! I need to set my total advance and I bought a MSD timing tape set and it has 6 different size tapes for different sizes of dampers. I just wasn't sure what size mine was.
