Stop in for a cup of coffee

-18/0f this morning.
Supposed to rise to -8. Going to be a nice day. Slippery though.
Have to watch my step today.

BNSF, ConRail and occasional Union Pacific. Mostly though it’s Louisville-Indiana and CSX
Conrail still on some engines - that's kindof neat. Conrail was broken up and sold to CSX and Norfolk Southern.

That's not always how the market works. Some things are more valued when whole, others worth more in pieces.
Oh I know. I think my price is right in the ballpark for what I’ve been seeing them go for a while now.

Found I have some 40/60, some killed acid along with nokode, so looks like I'm set to fix this when things clear.

Yeah they’ve been slow to repaint stuff. CSX also now owns Louisville Indiana but still has engines painted with those colors

Plumbing solder works well also. Keep the 40/60 hard to find now.
Almost $35 per pound! McMaster has it in stock.
My plan is to solder it place. Drain the coolant to just above the top of tubes. Use some emery cloth to make sure the bracket is clean. Then try to hook one of the holes in the bracket with a spring or bungee.

I have one of the huge soldering irons I have used in a pinch. Brazing is the best if you have access to a torch.

I have a chance to buy out a nos dealer of all his distrib parts, 50's - 70's. Man so tempting not cheap though prob 1000 parts/distribs.
