Stop in for a cup of coffee

Whats it going to cost? @Johnny Mac ?
We haven't set definitive pricing yet, but it will be a little more than the current 408's, in their similar versions. There's more machining/cost in the roller setup. However it won't be some crazy increase. Usually when we do a roller, and flat tappet version of something, the roller version is what i'd consider "a hell of a deal" for the roller cam upgrade. You guys will be the first to know when we have it online, and pricing, etc.

Waiting on the go ahead for parts replacement. I could take a nap i guess...
Thinking barracuda should come in for the weekend.

Good morning, Fury across the bridge yesterday with my friend who wanted to check out this quirky place

Think it will be ready by Carlisle time? I could grab one on the way through, save a ton on shipping..

ugh, slight problem. I'm trying to get plates on the Polara. Indiana just changed their laws/policies, I now have to show proof of the original MSRP from the year the car was sold in order to calculate excise tax. Dumb because its over 10 years old and will be 12 bucks regardless but BMV says they wont plate it unless I show proof now... wtf

I can help ya on freight...and it'll be alot less than 8% sales tax....food for thought. if you pick it up there's tax.

yeah, I tried that. Lady says has to be original dealer document... on all vehicles prior to 1981... I even called the state office to verify this new BS

you would think hey would have a database with the numbers to make it easy on themselves.
data base downsized I guess to save cost. So now, on all vehicles prior to 1981, you have to have dealer documentation to verify sales class. It's some BS that was tied into by an amendment from a D rep that snuck thru on the last bill when they upped the registration costs in Jan. To "pay for roads".

Hmm, nada guides you can get the number. Don't know how the can expect you to find actual dealer info. :bs_flag:
Yeah that's what I said. However, I think I may have a solution. I did happen to find an original sales brochure from 1964 for the polara a while back and bought it off a member here. It has the MSRP listed! Now whether or not they accept that, I don't know but gonna go back and try in the AM

The red tape people have to jump through at the license bureau is ridiculous. The last out of state vehicle inspection that i had done for a car i bought, took the entire day at the DMV, and then the title office.... all for a little old lady to come outside and ask ME to read her the vin...and tell her how many doors the car had....and what it was.

it was a 1978 2 door dodge monaco...

Naturally I read the vin as RM....23...J...

haha yeah. Indiana wasn't bad in the past. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come but my gut says it will be.

Well, that’s all. For today.
Highlander thermostat issue turns on check engine light and vehicle stability control shuts off.
Way to instigate panic.

Wow is it a nice day today! 75* mostly sunny and a light breeze. Half the crocuses in the back yard popped up since morning.

Thought it was going to be raining. I would have planned the day differently but stuff has to get done so it really doesn't matter. Did some yard work and took a neighbors dog for a walk so can't complain.

We found something similar with our RAV4. Leave the fuel cap a little loose and traction control lamp comes on. The tech at local dealership said there are a lot of minor issues that will turn this same lamp on instead of the check engine lamp. A loose/poorly seated plug wire is another example. He didn't say traction control was actually disabled, only that it's lamp in the dash served as additional warning lamp.

That is bloody ridiculous. Where would anyone find that sort of document for the '34 Ford they just spent $75K on at Barret Jackson? That's just crazy. 99.9% of new car buyers don't keep that document. :soapbox:
