Our cruise in got cancelled due to rain so we are having a impromptu Mopar event at the bar. I am staged and ready to go. Wife and neighbor helping with driving duties! When I drive the Cuda in town water only no beer!

I saw a 2019 Challenger Stars and Stipes edition on the road today. Pretty cool.

Long day. Got trailer sorta prepped for paint. Its getting slathered right over the surface rust.
New steel of course will be fine.
Buddy came over and we put new tires on his truck,69 gmc he wants to bring back to life. 97 5.7 vortec ,air tilt cruise all going in.
Cleaned up the storage building some and then did some work on my pickup. Pulled out my smoked winch and fixed up some wiring. Battery power to trailer connector and backup lights for trailer.
Cleaned up in front of shop a little. Yes, got lots done.
This week is overbooked, dont know how i will get it all done.

We got all ring gaps checked and all are in spec...

Installed the rings on all but one of the pistons... Seems the guy pinned one of the rods on backwards and we have to get it fixed to do the last cylinder... :BangHead:

That's why we check things as we assemble them to make sure they are correct....

Taking a break now until we go out and install the 7 good pistons that we have into the engine... :steering:

Rain looks like blue skies in that pic.
Cruise in was last week, it only happens once a month for total of three a year. Aprox 600-800 cars each show. It is a big deal up here. So a couple guys we race with and two cops and a toolman had a impromptu mini Mopar meet at Wild Bills wing joint.

Removed a bunch of shrubs/ small trees for someone today. The bigger ones I chainsawed close to ground. Smaller ones I cut roots with sawzall till I was able to pop them out of the ground.
Then came home and put the first coat on 3 sections of deck railing.
Just finished a burger for dinner...

Note to self..... Always let the skunk get away from the house before sending him a lead greeting party.
Ask me how I know!
Just kill them the way I kill raccoons.

Sneak up and jump on it and drive a knife into the soft spot on the back of its neck. Hold on tight because it's going squirm violently and it's not going to pretty for a few minutes till it starts to let go.

Or you can use my other method and just mow it down with a dodge dart
