Actually, there are only two seasons, both can be hot. April though September is the rainy ( monsoon ) season, and quite humid as well. October through March is dry season ( much more tolerable ). But as I said, where I go there is generally a nice breeze. I plan on Wintering in the Nam, and Summering here..:lol:
 
I was wrong. Slack in chain is all of 12 degrees.
My understanding from ETCG is 7 degrees or more chain is bad.
 
Hey you misfits! You all have a great weekend and stay cool. They put out heat warnings today for this weekend around my area. Temps pushing 105* and of course the wonderful MN humidity will make it just fantastic!

I better stock up on some good craft beer (Goliath) @toolmanmike.

Yes you should. I have some in the frig and gallons downstairs. I might have to have a glass or two later. I have been sampling my whisky barrels. 4 months on oak is really getting good. I got 2 new barrels in today. Rinsed and filled with hot water to condition. The oak needs to swell to seal.

How to get a woman clean the house from top to bottom...have her mother visit for 2 weeks!

My mother in law is flying in this evening and I haven’t ever seen the house so clean. I swear everything was vacuumed twice and every speck of dust obliterated. She vacuumed the entire first floor again just before she left to pick her mom up at the airport a few minutes ago.

I have about an hour before they get back...I wonder how dirty I can make it look by then?

I got this little note from the Ca DMV in the mail. Seems when I renewed my DL last fall the Feds wanted me to get their approved ID also. At that time DMV says to bring 1 proof of residency (utility bill, credit card bill type proof) so I did. Got the new DL with Fed approval, or so I thought. Turns out the Feds require 2 proof of residency documents. The new note said "Is this your address? If so check this box". X in the box it gets. "Sign below, this will be your second proof of residency. Return in the post paid envelope." I'm sure the cost of their mistake will be passed on to me in some way in the near future. Better than wasting another day at DMV to rectify their error.
 
I think the dog read my mind and figured he would help. He’s sprawled out on the sofa getting it covered in dog hair again! I’m stay in the garage until they get back so I have plausible deniability of his actions.

Damn dog bailed on me! One rumble of thunder and he went and hid in the closet. Nearly no dog hair on the sofa. Now they are back and my daughter informed me she brushed dog before they left.

Mission failed...I have been undone!
