Current weather conditions in Aston Pa

Conditions: Sunny
Temperature: 88*
Humidity: 71%
Feels like: Yuck

At least the garage is holding at 82* and 50% humidity. I’m glad I insulated the garage door a couple of years ago. Even though the garage is on the SW side of the house, it only heats up a few degrees over the course of the day since I insulated.

I have had/seen a few good ones when I was helping out doing fireworks shows in HI. Scariest one for me was a 10" motor did not go off and we always had a lit flare to drop down the tubes. Well while dropping the flare the dam thing went off and jammed in the tube because of the flare. Could not jump into the ocean fast enough. Scared the hell out of me. Was like a incoming 155. The tube turned into shrapnel and started some of the next in the display to start going off. Prob life 4 or five right there.

Back in the 80s, I was helping a friend with a private display and some drunken fool knocked over the mortar stand just as a 6” round was dropped. I ducked and the round went off just over my shoulder about an inch from my ear. It hit an S-10 truck parked nearby under the back bumper and bounced around before exploding.

The explosion ruptured the fuel tank and the gas caught fire. Giant inferno. I just walked to the other end of the lot, got in my car and left. Too damn close!

That’s it!

Funniest was a friend had a party and his dad made a estes rocket just packed wit black powder and all sorts of fireworks and magnesium. Pretty funny he was also born deaf. Dropped the thing on the launch rod, dam it had to be four feet toall and two inches wide had 5 d engines on it. Took off, then a few more motors turned on late and it went sideways right through the cop across the streets picture window! Blew up great took the rest of the windows out. We all ran like hell, including him!

Took about 20 bottle rockets to get the bear outta the oak tree.
Didnt really fizz on the bear.
My truck idling nearby worked better.

I use them here to scare the black bears out. Works well with the whistling ones.

Any one doing anything good tomorrow? Nada here just another day.
Maybe last minute. Still in the mindset of having the dog to think about.

As far as dumb stuff fireworks, nothing major but I'll take the fifth. ;)

Thought I had to work tomorrow but my boss just emailed me and the rest of the staff and said..... see you all Monday!!!

So i think i am going to do a road trip!!!!!!...

Not too far tho... heading west into them thar mountains. Might leave tonight, and do a little metal tent (the car) backpacking.

There is a place a few hours away having a car show and parade and festival type things and this place is in the direction, on the way to them mountains.

i will see how much of a mountain goat the ol' dart is. :usflag:

You guys are native English speakers and writers so i have an English question.

So this guy started a thread
i love my little router

And i notice the "i" is lower case but refers to a man. In my native language, the upper case is for referring to a man, even at the beginning of a sentence. But the lower case is always used to refer to the woman, even at the beginning of a severance because the woman is referred to like an object or thing, where as the man has a unique way of being referred to and is always an upper case when referring to himself

Either he is in error or the English language is a bit different???
