Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey where'd ya put all those parts??
Still loaded! Have other vehicles to drive. I told you, I really tore down my car shop and made it into a RV storage spot. Have no place to work on my project. Have to build something....pour a new slab.....I have a 20ft sea crate that I will utilize for sure, need to finish clearing out all the stored crap that is in there.

It's MT Monday!
Got nuthin to compare to that Hoppy Monday post, so sumthin nostalgic and fun will do. :steering:

Yes. I remember he was there in the morning.
Just doing a quick look on the 'net, here's one reproduced by HotRod.
Click full size and download - the scanned photo is huge.
Vintage Road Test: 1967 Plymouth Barracuda 383

Might be pre-production. The linked article isn't clear about dates or which parts are quoted from the original print article. The comment about the K-H rims is just wrong. The test car might have had Mag-stars (never used in production) or wheel covers, but not the model year 1969 rims that were recalled.
Those are the Deluxe Chrome Wheel Covers, just like I have on my car.

Need a new welder, only have inner shield now. Any advice? about 1100.00 to spend...

Funny I was looking at the spark plug wire brackets!
Also the firewall wire bundle routing for my own car. Need to confirm if it was the same for small blocks.
Those are the two I just got from Vans Auto L bracket shares with the wire bracket both $14.00 for A-Body big block.
Bronze metal color is painted engine color.

L bracket goes on first. Their part number CHZENG053

Bolts to left front exhaust manifold stud on top of “L” bracket. Holds all left side wires except for #7. Always used in conjunction with “L” bracket.

I had a spark plug bracket that sat off the front of the left exhaust manifold. I couldn't figure out what it was suppose to do. It just wasn't right. The only reasonable answer I got at Carlisle was that it was upside down. Looked at the other 34 Barracuda's parked there in my class and none even had one.
Yesterday while it rained, I did some digging and finally found Van's Auto, who sold the brackets. They also listed a description telling you where the bracket went and what car it went on. This bracket was for a B-body, no wonder it was out of place. Ordered the right one this morning, and all is well.
Not the first time I've found stray parts on this car. I'm sure you all have experienced that to.
Yep, so many out of place parts, i
@dukeboy_318 How is brother Steve doin'?
no change thanks for asking

That wasn't a fresh engine. Battery caps are green and very dirty.
Did you see in the summary about the original article its mentioned that the car was driven through mountains and a torrential rainstorm? That would explain the condition.

That's second one looks different than the test car.

Maybe your buddy John will know. In the mean time keep hunting photos.
Doesn't even look like a wire can be run to the inside holder. ???

I like the part number hand written on the engine bracket.

I re-did my OEM ones with Panel Bond. Perfect and easy to do.

Do you already have a small oxy-acet setup?
Not as fast for welding up seams but versatile. Could be helpful for taking out the dents and creases.

Hey Dave - GM did a real crappy job o' the paint on these. It's like chalk. Got a magic trick up yer sleeve?

Agree looks like the bracket I just took off. No way wires were running through it. Just looking at the one I posted earlier you can tell its right. Only three wires on that side to run through hence three wire bracket. Probably use a little wire spacer to make it look clean.

Maybe they made a running change or change before actual production.
The bracket you took off and shown in the photo might be for another 383 application

I wish I would have watched my body shop friends more closely when they started shrinkin' metal with the torch. :BangHead:
I found an older tech school book in the used book store that explains a lot more than I'd seen elsewhere.
Still aint nothing like seeing and doing it live....
